Sound Healing is energy medicine, or vibrational therapy using Traditional Tibetan Metal Singing Bowls. During this 60 minute session we ask you bring your own water in case you need to take a drink during the session. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or blanket to help cushion your position you choose to be in. Join Cindy Horbach for this healing opportunity.
Please join jane Peterson for a physical yoga practice to build strength and flexibility in mind, body, and soul; followed by a participatory workshop to practice self awareness.
We are offering two Yoga workshops , tea, water, and lunch to celebrate 30 years of Lakes Area Yoga Association! Ashley Vasas will instruct Treat Your Feet and Healthy, Happy Hips Yoga sessions. Once you register we will send a separate email with a google form to choose your lunch option: Veggie Hummus Wrap, or Ham/Turkey Sandwich. Veggies and Hummus and local brand Just Juice will be included in the lunch.
Treat Your Feet: With this unique combination of yoga and self-massage techniques, you will feel more stable and balanced and move with ease. Most of this workshop is done standing. If standing for long periods of time is a challenge for you, it can be adapted to be done seated in a chair.
Healthy, Happy Hips: In this workshop, you’ll engage in mindful exercises, deep tissue release, and stretches that improve your range of motion. This will culminate in the rejuvenating Happy Baby pose (Ananda Balasana), which will leave you limber and lighter. We’ll end with a calming Savasana, providing you with the perfect opportunity to reset your body and mind after our journey.
Ashley's Bio: After discovering the transformative power of yoga, Ashley wanted to help by sharing the power of yoga, movement, and philosophy. Today, Ashley helps her students connect with their potential through yoga, meditation, and self-love. Ashley is devoted to deepening her yoga knowledge and earned her RYT-500 advanced training in 2022. She has studied many yoga modalities to serve her students' unique needs, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Pre-and Post-natal, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and Yoga Tune Up®. In particular, Ashley studied Yoga Tune Up® to delve deeply into integrated anatomy and body mechanics, including additional training in soft tissue science, self-myofascial massage applications, breath mechanics, and the impact of breath on the nervous system. Off the mat, Ashley enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her husband and cats.
